One of the things I love about the Rocky Mountains is the weather. You never know what to expect.

Here in Colorado everyone always says wait five minutes… the weather will change, and, it always does. So, on a beautiful day in May its not surprising that it snowed at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Lake Tahoe for Kim and Dan’s wedding.

Kim and Dan took in all in stride and had a beautiful wedding. They say that when it rains on your wedding day its good luck… does the same go for snow?

I always say that its all about the little details. Its the little charm that stands out on your bouquet. Some use it for their something blue. Whatever it may be, its a must for your wedding flower bouquet.

Dylan List member Bliss Event Planning did a great blog post yesterday on eco-friendly bouquets. If you are a bride looking for alternatives to the traditional flower bouquet Bliss came up with 5 eco-bridal bouquet alternatives.

First up: Wood

Balsa wood bridal bouquets. They are handmade from tapioca wood peel, also called sola wood, a naturally derived paper product. Since  they aren’t technically a live flower, they never die making them the perfect eco-friendly alternative to a floral bouquet.

Bliss encourages you to contact your local florist and see where you can get them. If for some reason your florist can’t find them check out Save on Crafts, they offer art and craft supplies at discounted prices!

Second up: Buttons

I personally love this trend. This trend started a few years ago and is only getting bigger. You can either find felt and button bouquets or buttons (like the one above). The one above came via Really Bad Kitty. You can also check out more Etsy finds and Princess Lasertron.

Sarah is a photographer based out of Dallas, Texas. When she and Michael decided they wanted to have a destination wedding they choose beautiful Beaver Creek, Colorado.
