I Love Spring Time…

I love spring. I love the smell of fresh flowers and freshly cut grass. I love the sound and smell of an afternoon rain shower. One of my favorite parts of weddings is the flowers. I admire the time and effort that goes into designing bouquets, boutonnieres, and center pieces. When I came across Hilary Miles Flowers LTD, I had to share some of her work.

She is a VERY talented florist in Vancouver. She has worked on Television shows, the Olympics, and for all those Twilight fans, New Moon. When her lead designer got married last summer Hilary and her staff didn’t disappoint. I love all of the variety and color they used.

To find out more about Hilary’s work make sure you check out her website and blog.

The perfect engagement session

After a much needed few days off, I’m ready to jump back into bed…

I LOVE this session that Lucida Photography sent over. It’s cozy, fun, intimate, and perfect for a save the date session.

Love…

One of my all-time favorite photos from the amazing Elizabeth Messina. What more can you say?

It’s inspiring on so many levels…

TGIF!

Thinking outside the box: Trash the Dress

Some people call it a “Day After Session.” Some call it “Trash the Dress.” Confetti Films calls it Bye, Bye Wedding Dress. It is a different take on the trash the dress session. The bride or bride and groom does a more relaxed, edgier photo shoot; or in this case, they shoot a short film. Nicole is thinking outside of the box with her films and pushing the limit on your “typical” shoot.

Watching the film makes me want to pull out my old wedding dress and catch the next flight to Canada and work with Nicole.

Real Wedding: Erin & Clayton

For Erin and Clayton the choice to get married in the mountains of Canmore, Alberta was easy. They love the outdoors. They made it a family affair with friends and family coming together to celebrate their marriage. Kenneth and Elaine of Just Married Photography documented the wedding perfectly.

When Erin and Clayton first saw the outside gazebo at Silvertip Golf Resort they knew they found the perfect venue. What better way to get married than the backdrop of the mountains on a beautiful day.

Erin and Clayton said they loved every part of getting their amazing wedding photos. They were up for anything. They climbed mountain sides, laid on pool tables, and stood on tree trunks!

Real Wedding: Jennifer & Pat

When I first saw this wedding I fell in love. I fell in love with the passion you see between Jennifer and Pat. It is always a treat to see photos from Ewan and Brianna Phelan of The Last Forty Percent. Brianna draws you in with beautiful writing and you can’t help but fall in love with couples after seeing Ewan’s photographs. Jennifer and Pat were married at the stunning London Delta Armouries in London, Ontario.

I loved Jennifer’s Nicholas and Elizabeth gown and purple ballet shoes.
