Its official… Prince William is married to Catherine Middleton! As the world watched this morning you couldn’t help but be inspired by romance, royalty, and that first kiss.

As everyone waited for that first glimpse of the wedding dress we found ourselves breathless when she stepped out of the Rolls Royce.

She showed the world she was a traditional bride with a gown designed by Sarah Burton for British fashion house Alexander McQueen. The dress showed touches of modern craftsmanship and resembled Grace Kelley’s wedding dress from 1956. You might remember my post Inspired by Kate Middleton, although I hoped for British designer Ben de Lisi, Catherine’s dress didn’t disappoint.

I’ve been Inspired by Alexander McQueen from the very beginning and so happy to see a dress made of such unique modern design. So, today I’m inspired by the British designers, Catherine Middleton, and red, white, and blue (the colors of the British Flag).

Today I’m inspired by big bold colors and Alvina Valenta. Turquoise, orange, and lemon have me swooning over spring and the possibilities of this beautiful color combo that screams “I’m ready to party!” From vintage to DIY and modern styles this color combo is fresh and bold and will have all of your friends jealous at your wedding.

Don’t be afraid to use citrus for table details and escort cards. I love this idea of the Izze drinks or Jones Soda with personalized labels and flavors that match your color palette . Don’t forget to look into beautiful patterned fabrics for the tables and dinnerware that will make your food look amazing.

One year ago today I launched Lucy Dylan Weddings. I wanted to have fun with it, showing the different parts of planning, that might go unnoticed. From advice to DIY products to the introduction of a food category, LDW evolved into something so much more then I ever thought it would. This past year was a whirlwind and I couldn’t have done it without the many photographers and vendors that were so kind to provide real weddings and content for me to share.

In the past year my little regional wedding blog has had over 100,000 visits. I featured weddings from as far as South Africa to beautiful weddings from all over the Rocky Mountains and United States. Thank you to all of the vendors, photographers, couples, and my fellow wedding bloggers who allowed me to feature you, talk about you, and share your amazing wedding ideas. And a special thank you goes out to everyone who reads, follows, and visits my blog regularly.

Today I’m inspired by Dolly Couture and pink and gray weddings. I fell in love with this vintage inspired Audrey Hepburn dress and I really love the fact that Dolly Couture only specializes in short wedding dresses that are vintage inspired.

Paired with a short birdcage veil from the etsy shop of velvetowl it will make any bride look stunning on her wedding day. This DIY inspired pink and gray color board also includes  a beautiful custom cake topper from Red Light Studio. Don’t you just love Etsy? Today I am inspired by Ann Frances and pinecones. Between pinecone bouquets and favors you’ll have a beautiful winter inspired wedding. Romantic candles and twinkle lights are a must to give your wedding a fairy tale look.
