  • The price. Often, choosing your wedding venue is going to really depend on the price of it. The cost of the venue can be far more expensive than you ever anticipated, and if it’s in high demand it will be even more so. Ensure that you’ve discussed the price in detail and decide what the price is going to include with the wedding when touring venues. Some of the venues include the cost of the venue along with food, chair covers, a Toastmaster and more. You have to determine this before you sign on any dotted lines.
  • The amenities. Almost every venue out there is completely equipped with everything that you would need for a fantastic wedding day, but it’s important that you don’t assume that this will always be the case. You have to talk to the venue about what amenities they have an offer, and this can include anything from an updated lighting or Sound System to concierge for the guests. Write down the details from various venues and then you can compare them all and ensure that you are choosing one that both of you really love.
  • The vendors. Someone venues don’t actually allow you to choose your own vendor‘s insuring that you use theirs instead. The pre-selected vendors may not work for you however so you need to see if there is wiggle room on this. If you have your heart set on a particular florist or catering company, then you need to discuss this with the venue coordinator before you sign any contracts and agree to any prices.
  • The location matters. This is especially important if you have family traveling for your wedding, because the location of the venue is an important consideration for them. However, it’s more important than that that you are choosing a venue that’s right for you and your new partner. Yes it may be a pain for people traveling in, but in the end this is your wedding day that you’d like to look back on so you need to make sure that you are choosing well the first time.
