Wedding Planning Should Be Fun!

Weddings are quite intimidating, even if you’re planning your fifth and you’ve been through it all before. They take time to get together, and often require a social and financial investment from everyone you invite. Wedding planning can also feel like an act of juggling responsibilities from hand to hand, until you realize that you’re two weeks out and still haven’t booked musical entertainment.

With all this said and thought of, it’s easy to think of wedding planning as a tyrant you must conform to – not something beautiful you can and should experience with those who know you best. If you feel like that, then it can be that changes should be made. Wedding planning should be fun! This is your special day. You don’t have to feel obligated to hit it out of the park with every decision you make, nor should you feel that only the best will do. If you find that some flowers mismatch in your table decorations, is that the end of the world? The flowers would still look beautiful and bring a smile to everyone’s faces.

Yet even while chasing your best possible wedding, it’s still worth having fun. Here are a few tidbits to keep in mind that will confirm this:

Assign Tasks To Everyone, But Consult Well

You don’t have to shoulder this entire burden yourself. In fact, doing so would be a silly endeavor. You’re liable to forget certain things, make mistakes, and feel stressed out. That’s fine. If you split the task up with those you trust, perhaps in your family or friendship group, you can more easily focus on the elements that are essential to you. Then, you can consult on the activities of others – while also enjoying a breath of relief.

No Option Too Silly

There are no options too silly when considering your wedding day. If you love the idea of having your wedding in a certain location others may not, that doesn’t mean you’re weird. It means you have eclectic taste. This is your wedding day. If you forget about fitting a formal standard and instead consider what it is that you and your partner would love, within reason, then you can focus on scheduling this day for you. That’s a good place to feel motivation.

Enjoy Browsing & The Experience

Weddings are beautiful! From seeing the most wonderful flower girl dresses online to browsing venues and spending time in manor houses that serve as potential options – weddings are ethereal, and almost like fairytales. You’d be remiss if you didn’t make a day out of cake store browsing, looking at the local churches, or talking through your dreams with those there to help you. This is where the fun lies, in weighing up your options and considering which path to follow. The more you do this, the more you will feel engaged.

With this advice, we hope you can have more fun planning your wedding day. This shouldn’t be a chore. And from there – who knows? You may find yourself in a wedding you could have only dreamed for yourself.
