We all know that wedding planning can be extremely tough and tiring. There’s so much to think about, it’s almost inevitable that things can slip through the cracks. As such, I’ve put together this little list of things you can’t afford to forget when planning your special day. Read over them, remember them, and don’t forget them!

Bouquet

The bouquet is far more important than a lot of people realize when planning a wedding. Most people think it’s just there to be thrown into the crowd symbolically. However, it forms a key part of the bride’s wedding outfit. A great bouquet can bring together your dress and make it look extra gorgeous. As a result, you can’t afford to forget about it. Don’t rush into grabbing any bouquet in any style. It needs to be thought out and matched to suit your dress, hair – everything!

Vows

Your vows are such an important part of your wedding day. There are two things you need to think about here. First, don’t forget to choose how you say your vows. Are you going to recite the traditional ones or write your own? Secondly, if you are writing your own, don’t forget about them! Some people leave it late and end up with a panic attack as they can’t think of what to write. Spend time writing different drafts and getting people to look at them before producing a final set of vows that you’ll recite on your big day.

Photographer

When planning your wedding, there are plenty of important things to think about. However, something that often slips under your radar is the wedding photographer. You don’t think about photos until the last minute and end up panic-hiring the first photographer you see. Don’t do this, set aside time to research various people and find someone that can provide the best photos to preserve the memory of your wedding day.

Songs

You don’t really think about music and songs when you start planning your wedding. All your focus is on the aesthetics of your wedding ceremony and reception, you don’t think about sound. However, you can’t forget to choose what songs you’ll play during both your ceremony and reception. What music will you walk down the aisle to? Will it be traditional wedding music or something different? If you’re having a traditional church wedding, you must pick various hymns to play during the ceremony too. Then, at your reception, you have to choose the first song that you and your husband will dance to. Of course, you need to think about the rest of the music on that night too, will you hire a DJ or a band? There’s a lot to consider, and a lot that can be forgotten.

Naturally, there are plenty of other important things you can’t forget too. But, I think it’s silly to include stuff like the wedding rings or bridesmaid dresses on this list as no-one is likely to forget them! These things are more likely to be forgotten, so note them down and make sure you remember!
