How To Recycle Your Bridesmaid Dress

With wedding season winding down it’s time to start thinking about how to recycle those bridesmaid dresses! The easiest solution is to try and resell it, but sometimes it can be a very long and unsuccessful process or you can figure out how incorporate it into your current wardrobe.

Bridesmaid dresses can be shortened if they were full length and dyed a different color. If you choose to dye the dress I would suggest going to a professional to make sure it is done correctly. My favorite option for recycling your bridesmaid dress is to restyle it!

We’ve put together a summer date-night look to give you an idea of how easy it is to restyle your dress and make it summer swoon-worthy! We got a little help from our friends over at Weddington Way who have an amazing bridesmaid dress collection, click here to check it out!

Any color cocktail dress is perfect to dress down with a jean jacket and gladiator sandals. The sandals pictured above are Madden Girl and are only $14 at shoes.com! The easiest way to change the look of any dress is to add a belt. We fell in love with this wide braided belt from Urban Outfitters for $20. It is the perfect belt to be used over and over again with any outfit!

Of course we can’t forget the jewelry! We decided to stick with the boho/vintage style and found the perfect show stopper statement necklace at Stella & Dot! The coolest thing about this necklace is it’s a 4 in 1 and the individual gold strand with discs detaches to create a beaded necklace, or remove the colored strands for an all gold look. Paired with the Maylee ring, hoop earrings and the Bardot Spiral Bangle you have the perfect summer date-night look!

We’d love to hear about how you plan on recycling your bridesmaid dress! 🙂
