Guest Post: Guide to Honeymoon Essentials

honeymoon-planning

With all the excitement surrounding the planning and organizing of your wedding, honeymoon essentials can be easily neglected. Though the wedding itself is the main event, you don’t want to be caught out when it comes to the special time of consummating your marriage. So to ensure that you don’t forget anything, here is a small list of honeymoon essentials.

Travel Documents

You’re certainly not going to have a very romantic time on your honeymoon if you can’t even make it through the airport check-in. And although it’s obvious, you’d be amazed at how many people forget the most important items after the mayhem surrounding their wedding. So before anything else, triple check that you have your passports, plane tickets and any money or credit cards you’ll be requiring. Having the details of all your accommodation and travel information will also help to make the whole trip a much more enjoyable affair, as it should be.

A Quality Camera

A honeymoon is a very special time which (with any luck) only comes once in your life. So despite the fact that you may be in love and living in the moment, you want to take the time and effort in order to capture some of the magic moments of your honeymoon. You can buy a cheap camera if you like, but in truth you’ll be far more thankful thirty years down the line when your honeymoon is immortalized in beautiful, high quality images. Don’t forget to bring plenty of batteries (and a charger if needed), and a good few SD cards, so that you’re free to go snap crazy.

Travel Friendly Essentials

Of course, you’ll want to look, feel and smell your very best during your honeymoon. But unfortunately, there simply isn’t space on board for you to take all of your favourite perfumes and grooming accessories. So the trick is to find travel friendly essentials that will easily fit in your luggage without weighing you down. For example, a compact travel hair dryer is tiny in comparison to your one at home, but it does exactly the same job. And don’t forget the limit on liquids you can bring: you certainly don’t want to be leaving your favourite perfumes behind through lack of planning.

Food For Thought

There are no doubt other items you’ll want to bring. But the above should give you some great food for thought and see that you don’t get overlook anything important after the hectic time surrounding your wedding.
