Katie and Brent met 6 years ago in a graduate anatomy class at UH. At that time Brent tried pick up lines such as “Hey, I heard your cadaver (the dead body) has a pacemaker” and “hey, our study group is going to kahala mall tonight if you wanna join us.” Even with all of his amazing game Katie was oblivious to his advances.
After the class ended Brent and Katie kept bumping into each other while out with mutual friends. Other times she saw him out at the bars with mutual friends, but he was too shy to even say hi to her! So Katie approach him to say hi and that was even before knowing he was checking her out.
With the help and encouragement of friends Brent worked up the courage to actually let Katie know he wanted to date her. Katie left for PT school soon thereafter and they survived 3 years of long distance before finally living in the same city again!
