Donna Liu is an up and coming wedding cake and dessert artist based out of Los Angeles. Liu set-up a photo shoot with Studio Sequoia to showcase her amazing work! She was inspired by rustic, vintage outdoor wedding receptions and decided on a beautiful peach and violet color pallet.
Liu found everything she needed for a dessert table at thrift stores and vintage antique stores. They made the yarn and ribbon wreaths by hand {Hello, DIY project!} for the shoot. They found an amazing location, a backyard full of 5 different fruit trees! To compliment the delicious desserts they displayed lemons, mandarin oranges, limes, guava and apples to bring the location and dessert table all together. This is one of my favorite styled shoots to share because it showcases desserts and easy ways for you to create your very own dessert table for your next party, bridal shower or wedding reception.
I’m sure you are all wondering about the most important part of this feature… the desserts! Liu made a layered chocolate cake, tea cookies, mini cupcakes, and rustic leaf cookies. I’m sure you are all craving dessert now, I know I am! 😉
