Real Honolulu Wedding: Malia & Jeff

Once upon a time a young man named Jeff journeyed to San Francisco for Graduate School. It was a new adventure in a new city. While at school he was invited to play on an indoor soccer team with his classmate. One of his teammates on that team was a young woman named Malia from Hawaii, who had traveled across the ocean to the mainland to also attend school at USF. They became friends! They were friends for a year before their friendship blossomed into a relationship. From then on they would experience many adventures in the Bay Area while falling more and more in love with one another. Every step of the way they shared in each others company and their adventures have taken them all over the United States and across the world to countries like the Philippines, France, Italy, Greece, and Australia.

The proposal happened on Monday June 6th, 2011 at Queen Anne’s Kerry Park. Malia was driving up to Seattle with our friends from the Bay Area. Little did Malia know that the engagement ring was with our friends coming along for the ride. My friends gave me status updates along the way about Malia’s thoughts on marriage and when she thought “Jeffy” would propose! After Malia and friends arrived in Seattle the ring was secretly handed off to Jeff and they all went out that afternoon in Seattle to take in the sights. We all finally ended up at Kerry Park in Seattle and Malia didn’t want to get out of the car because she was tired. Finally Jeff convinced Malia to get out of the car and check out the view. On bended knee and ring in hand, Jeff asked his love Malia to marry him. And so it was, with the cool Seattle breeze blowing her auburn hair ever so slightly, freezing the moment in time. Our life will be continued together forever! Our story is just that: ours. Don’t be stealing our awesomeness, because it’s just too much awesome to handle. – From their good friend, Nicole Seu of Studio 3511 Photography.
