Real Wedding: Suzanne & Simon

Europeans Suzanne and Simon exchanged their vows against a contemporary backdrop of Franschhoek Valley in Cape Town, South Africa. With majority of their guests flying to Cape Town it was important for Suzanne and Simon to design a celebration with African elements, vibrant colors, and contemporary decor.

When guests arrived at the very chic Franschheok Wine Estates they were greeted by Djembe African drummers and marimbas.

Suzanne and Simon designed a stunning color pallet with yellow, red, and blue. Each guest had their own personal name badge for their escort card.

During cocktail hour guests enjoyed signature drinks of homemade raspberry lemonade, berry daiquiris, and mojitos while African singer Mapumba entertained guests.

The stationary was progressive and unique with the main focus being the picture of the continent. The black napkin was wrapped with a yellow band with each guests name on it along with the menu being printed on it.

A cigar lounge was set up outside along with flip flops for guests to relieve their tired feet.

Kate with Wedding Concepts described this wedding as “Contemporary, vibrant African at its best!” I would have to agree!

Thank you for featuring our wedding. We’re very honored to be mentioned on your blog, Lucy. We, and our guests, had the best time in Cape Town/ Franschhoek and there is nothing I’d do differently in hind sight thanks to Wedding Concepts amazing skills … Loved every second!

  4. – That first image behind the rain croeved window, the colour one, placed on a wall, a very tall wall, from top to bottom. It belongs somewhere on big, wide open display. Remarkable (as is much of the rest).
