From the photographer, Becky Brown Photography: Tisha and Matt are both teachers and wanted to have their small wedding before the school year kicked off. Matt proposed to Tisha on her birthday and they decided that they should get married on Matt’s birthday which fell on a Thursday in August.
They had their formal ceremony at City Hall with their immediate families there as witnesses and their siblings as their wedding party (12 people plus the couple). We then had some photo time around the city at the LaSalle Bridge downtown and Women’s Park near where the couple lives.
Their dinner reception was held at Nightwood Restaurant. They are big foodies so this award winning restaurant with one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chef’s Jason Vincent was the perfect choice! We had the basement wine room all to ourselves as Tisha’s dad provided some words of wisdom and officiated their ring exchange ceremony and the vows they had written to each other.
