Book Review: Pure Vanilla

I’m in love… with Pure Vanilla! This new cookbook will educate you with a complete history of vanilla from orchid to extract and celebrate vanilla’s unique taste with a stunning array of recipes, from cakes and cookies to custards and creams.

There are over 80 recipes with dozens of mouthwatering photos that will get you in the kitchen making unforgettable dishes. One of my favorites so far is Honey-Vanilla Granola Clusters. I’m such a sucker for granola and have never taken on the task of making homemade granola for everyday eating. But, this recipe has me eating granola out-of-hand its that good!

I was lucky enough to get Pure Vanilla right before Thanksgiving so my excuse for making amazing vanilla recipes was met with happy family members wanting more. Pure Vanilla will be a GREAT addition to your library. I’ve made Coconut and Vanilla Bean Ice Pops which remind me of vanilla pudding. I’ve also made Buttery Baked Vanilla Bean French Toast and have a list of recipes I will be making over the next few weeks… I know I’m obsessed with this cookbook!

There are a ton of ideas that will get you thinking about your next party or even wedding favors! Its time to take a break from chocolate and rediscover the often overlooked vanilla. 🙂
