Tell us a little about what you do.  I am a wedding photographer in Hawaii.  I am based on the island of Oahu, and travel to the outer islands.

How long have you been in business?  I’ve been in the wedding photography business for 4 years now.

What inspired you to start your business/studio?   When my son was born I decided I wanted to really work on my business rather than keep it a hobby.  I didn’t really have that ‘push’ until I saw Jessica Claire’s website.  I thought if my wedding photos was that beautiful I’d have a house full of photos on my walls.  Her work inspired me to keep going and be better at my craft, and making sure that brides would feel the same way as i felt just looking at Jessica Claire’s photos.

What is your favorite thing about your business/studio?  being able to work with awesome brides!  i try to be myself on my website so if people like what they read or can laugh, then we are a match! =)

Was there a defining moment when you knew you picked the right career path?  Knowing I made someone’s day, that I made their wedding day that much better.  I’m afraid of reviews, I’m always looking way into what they’re saying and always hoping they were happy with their experience with me and my work.  My very first review got me a little teary eyed:  ‘Pinky captured everything I had hoped for in my dream wedding day, she had a vision for portraying my wedding into a romantic and timeless memory” – Laura.  it’s so fulfilling to know that I made someone’s day and they can keep looking at their photos in the future and still be happy with what I gave them.

When you built your business what style would you say you built it around? (i.e. classic, modern, vintage)  modern

When working with people how do you help bring the vision for the event to life?  with research.  i’ll speak with them and get to know what they want better, i’ll even look around with samples first, or have them provide me with images they saw.  just so were on the same page.

Where do you go for inspiration? (i.e. blogs, magazines)  blogs and magazines.  always looking for ‘what’s IN’ now.  the new one has been pinterest, lots of inspiration there.

Is there anything else you want people to know about you and your business/studio?  about me:  i love coffee, cake and fitness.  for business:  I make sure that your wedding photos are unforgettable…and will try to get you to laugh at least once on your day if you’re stressed 😉
