My love of paper…

I have mentioned before that I am a huge emailer. I recently posted about great alternatives to sending paper goods in my post about save the dates. However, I do love paper to! I love paper that is eco-friendly. I love paper that is beautiful. I know that some people want their guests to receive an invitation in the mail. So, here are some of my favorite eco-friendly paper products.

I first came across Studio Olivine shopping at one of my favorite paper stores in Boulder, Two Hands Paperie. They create stationery that is letterpress printed by hand. They use 100% recycled handmade paper along with soy based inks. Based out of Portland, Oregon their style and illustrations are very unique.

Linda & Harriett is custom-designed letterpress invitation company. All of their letterpress ink is soy-based and all note cards & greeting cards are printed on 30% post-consumer & 100% carbon neutral paper. What I love about Linda & Harriett is they also offer an invitation (which is not pictured above) that is letterpressed in lemon on 100% cotton paper.

As of right now, Smock is the only company in the United States that prints all of their stationary on bamboo paper. They also produce everything in a wind powered facility and donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes. Bamboo is extremely soft, thick and has a unique texture. You can compare it to your highest quality cotton paper, so its perfect for letterpress.

Elum Designs uses tree-free, 100% post-industrial waste cotton rag papers. Their modern designed stationery and custom invitations also have soy based ink. The products they manufacture overseas contain tree-free papers and recycled grey boards. They have been recognized for their outstanding contributions in paper recycling.
