So, whatever anyone tells you, worrying about your wedding is going to happen to some extent. It’s an expensive day, with a lot of emotional aspects, who wouldn’t worry? But it’s important that your concerns don’t take over and stop you enjoying your day. Our guide can help with that.
Will I cry

Guess what; it’s your party, and you can cry if you want to. Your own wedding day will likely be a mix of all sorts of crazy emotions like happiness, excitement and even a bit of sadness and nervousness. So don’t hold back the tears if you feel like they are on their way. Just make sure you have some tissues, so you can dry your eyes when you get to the alter.
I don’t want to be on show in front of all those people
If you are a bit of an introvert at heart, it can be intimidating to have to stand up in front of all your wedding guests and be the center of attention. You just have to remember that it is only for a short while during the service and speeches. It may seem like you are the focus of attention all day, but remember people are probably more interested in eating and dancing by the end of the night!
Will I mess up my vows?
Another common worry is that you will mess up your vows. If this does happen, don’t stress. At worst it will be funny and lighten the mood. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself and you’ll probably enjoy the day more! Just make sure you don’t do a Ross from Friends!
Will anyone object?
It is pretty unlikely that anyone you have invited to your wedding is going to object to it. But I know it can be a worry for some brides, just because the opportunity is there. The only time I’ve heard anyone say anything at that point in the wedding is when one of the children in the congregation making a funny noise. Then everyone falls about laughing.
Will everything go smoothly?
There can be a lot of people to organise when you get married. The florist, the caterer, the photographer, not to mention your bridesmaids and groomsmen. It is natural to worry about it all. The key here is good communication with your suppliers and getting any worries sorted before the big day. If you have any questions, be sure to ask them in plenty of time before the wedding. Some providers have sections on their websites dedicated to giving information about their services. This can help to put brides at their ease, see this wedding photography FAQ.
Will my guests like the food/venue/entertainment etc

I think that the number one thing that brides worry about on their wedding day is whether their guest like their wedding and are having a good time. Well, news flash, it’s not actually about them. It’s about you and your husband. It’s about the marriage. The wedding is a celebration of that marriage, and they should be honored to be sharing that day with you. If they are picky and don’t like it, that’s ok. It’s not for them. It’s your wedding!
