Engagement Party

Do you intend to throw an engagement party?  Though it’s traditional, there are no rules that say you have to do this.  Some people like a big bash to share their happy news with all their friends and family.  Others prefer something a little more intimate.  Whichever option you decide, start your planning.

Announcement

Will there be a formal announcement of your engagement?  If so, spend a little time and work out how you’re going to do this.  And we’re not just talking about a post on Facebook.  Do you intend to take out an ad in the local paper?  Before you make it public, make sure all the key family members and friends have been informed.
