I have a HUGE treat for all you Hello Kitty fans out there!! One of my favorite bloggers, Michele Chen Chock, of I Heart Baking has the first-ever licensed Sanrio cookbook! The Hello Kitty Baking Book: Recipes for Cookies, Cupcakes, Pies and More is available now just in time for Halloween and the Holidays. Whether you’re a beginner baker or an experienced one you will find lots of helpful tips, insider tricks, and yummy recipes that celebrate every sweet bite with kawaii cuteness.
The only problem you will have with this cookbook is deciding which dessert to make first! I love this cookbook because its broken up into 3 categories with some of our favorite treats included:
- Cookies- Make sure you check out Hello Kitty Macarons & Hello Kitty Ice Cream Sandwiches
- Cakes & Cupcakes- Indulge in Red Apple Cupcakes or Keroppi Mint Chocolate Cake
- Pies, Party Treats & More- Treats perfect for your next party will be Hello Kitty & Friends Cake Pops and Hello Kitty Pumpkin Tart
If you are wondering if you have a buy extra baking supplies there is no need to worry all the necessary extras, like templates for Hello Kitty and her friends and basic bakery how-tos are included in the back of the cookbook. You will also find a list of key ingredients, baking equipment, and decorating equipment in the front of the book so you are prepared to make the perfect Hello Kitty dessert.
One recipe you will need to definitely check out is the Hello Kitty Pink Ombre Cake, which is Michele’s favorite. It has fours layers of varying shades of pink cake with a chocolate cream cheese filling and covered with fluffy Swiss meringue buttercream frosting. Its decorated with Hello Kitty faces on the sides and the cake is topped off with a perfect piped red bow!
